here and here if you want to see their link on Amazon.com) I'm absolutely dying for them to come in. I don't often buy books, but it always seems to happen that when I'm ready to buy a book, there's two or three or four more in related material that I end up getting. I guess buying 3-4 books once or twice a year is a lot better than buying 3-4 books every other week. Yes, I'm a recovering bookaholic.
I also bought some skeins of broderie anglaise cotton, with which to embroider a little petticoat for Victoria. It'll (hopefully) be made so that she can grow into it pretty easily. I'll make it very wide at the hem so as her waist grows, I can just unpick the waistband and reattach a new one. And, of course, lots of tucks in order to allow the skirt to be lengthened. I really hope I can manage to finish it. For me, finishing something as detailed as embroideries is not an easy task. I can easily get behind and let it fall by the wayside. Hopefully, knowing I need to finish it for Victoria (before she grows too much!) will be a good way to stay on task.
Well, I suppose I must run.
