I wish my bodices fit so nicely.

I personally love V necklines since I think they are so much more flattering. I think the collar looks very nice too. Is it on a bastable band? That way you can use it for both this dress as well as a silk one.

I also vote for coat sleeves. Maybe ones with a scoopy shaped wrist line with some pretty undersleeves. I love coat sleeves. :) I love the sleeve style you originally wanted but I too think it would look better in something other than a plaid or check.Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06713535191616985475noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1951397308280408930.post-74810981538807150022009-11-26T13:14:57.007-08:002009-11-26T13:14:57.007-08:00Amy, I think the neckline looks fine and the colla...Amy, I think the neckline looks fine and the collar does too, so either switch it out or don't! :-) I vote for simple coat sleeves, Robin is right, sometimes less *is* more. The armscye looks fine and you look great!
ParisMrs. Ghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06356736479776982230noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1951397308280408930.post-17893886877487231772009-11-26T10:25:33.283-08:002009-11-26T10:25:33.283-08:00I would save the collar for silk. I think it's pretty, but it just doesn't quite work with the wool :-)Laurenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16860487428631923601noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1951397308280408930.post-73000859800386784222009-11-26T08:39:58.208-08:002009-11-26T08:39:58.208-08:00It's a beautiful pattern, but I am not too sur...It's a beautiful pattern, but I am not too sure about using it with a wool. I think it's better suited for a silk and might some off as too fussy. It also seems a bit girlish. I like the collar a lot. I think if you use that collar, a simple coat sleeve might look more elegant. Sometimes less is more.

It's going to be lovely I can tell. And I don't think it looks too tight in the armscye.Robin's Egg Bleuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07940955157144789351noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1951397308280408930.post-37567778968401603942009-11-26T07:02:35.602-08:002009-11-26T07:02:35.602-08:00Amy -
